So what is Push Clarke?
Push Clarke is a tee shirt company that puts an emphasis on people that really love what they do. This is a project that is composed of local artist/entrepreneurs that have taken risk with their careers to follow their own ideas, and step outside of the grey box that everyone tells us we should be in.
So why is it called Push Clarke?
To Push is not to shove in my book. In my book, pushing deals with inspiration, creation, motivation, and dedication. I have worked in the surf industry for almost a decade as of now, and have always been a fan of independent companies, or self proprietors. I believe that you can get so much more from the smaller things in life if you take the time to appreciate what makes these things/people tick. I think that it’s important to tap into your creative side, and support the others that keep you doing what you love. To support the people that drive the soul of what they do, and have a good time doing it. I have been lucky enough to be put into a position where I can meet the people that have pieced together the surfing culture over the last few decades and hear their stories. These stories and people are where the name Push Clarke comes from. They are what push me to show my creative side, to keep surfing, to keep traveling, and that keep inspiring me in the little bubble of southern California.
These first shirts wouldn't be possible without the help of Chris and Mitch. Every time I talk to these guys they have something up their sleeves. I'll have more to say about these guys in a bit, but for now please enjoy the simplicity of pushing Clarke.....
